In this video from ToadieYPQ, we show the most basic tutorial for how to start Cities: Skylines in 2021. This is Cities: Skylines for Dummies, but I don't mean that as an insult. This is Cities: Skylines beginner tips for when you search for a beginners guide but only find best practices or best road layouts, or traffic tips. This is an actual Cities Skylines tutorial on the PC that shows the basic controls, the basic road layout and is a full basic guide. This is a Cities: Skylines easy start, or easy mode with an easy road layout. Consider this your Cities: Skylines beginner guide for 2021.

Today's episode is Part 3a, where we prepare our city for the Megalopolis milestone and high density zoning after hitting Big Town. We go through the Cities: Skylines info views and info panels, running through a vitals check of the city to make sure it has all the Cities: Skylines services that it needs. We also cover Cities Skylines traffic and Cities Skylines traffic management in vanilla Cities Skylines to prepare for high density traffic and zoning. Before zoning high density, you need Cities Skylines traffic tips and a Cities Skylines vanilla traffic tutorial to understand Cities Skylines road hierarchy and avoid traffic jams.
