This is my shot at making cave themed music. It's meant to be mysterious, beautiful, slightly unnerving but intriguing- like exploring a new and potentially dangerous place. I'd be lying if I said this song is not inspired by Nobuo Uematsu. His cave themes from the 90s Final Fantasy games definitely inspired this piece. Crystal Cave, Into The Darkness, Fate in a Haze and Find Your Way are the primary inspirations for this piece. I hope I've managed to capture the essence of the retro FF cave themes.
