Catapulted into fame and fortune from the unlikeliest of places, then thrust into the depths of obscurity, I cannot think of any word more fitting to describe the tale of Felix the Cat other than "twisted."
This video covers the development of Felix the Cat by co-creators Pat Sullivan and Otto Messmer, to his debut in 1919 with the silent short film "Feline Follies," to his latest major outing with 1995's "The Twisted Tale of Felix the Cat."
