I know I'm very late to the party, but we'll be checking out the recently added Ridden Hives into Back 4 Blood. These hives are supposed to provide you and your team in destroying the Hive while facing increasingly difficult enemies as you loot for rare weapons and other benefits.

You can go on as long as you and your team are able to do it, but it can be challenging if you're low on ammo and health. The Hives is a nice addition to the base campaign, but hopefully the next DLC release we'll actually get to go new areas and perhaps more weapons.
