The Saddle Rock Mines are located high up on a ridge in Death Valley. To get to them, you must hike up an old mining road for about 2.5 miles. It's all pretty much a gradual uphill climb. The best thing is that the return trip is all downhill. If you follow the road to its end, you can eventually reach the remains of the ghosttown Skidoo and all of its abandoned mines and shafts.
