This is the second game in the Super Mario Land Game Boy trilogy, and the last to feature Mario as the protagonist. It's also the second game I tackled in my Extra Life stream for 2016!
For the most part, I remember a lot of this game, and honestly it really is just so much better than the original Super Mario Land. Better graphics, soundtrack, and overall level/ enemy design. As a kid I could never beat it, and as an adult I can only beat it on easy mode. Regardless I think the game stands well, Wario castle being the only bad part of this game. Game Overs also make me made because there is no reason you should have to re-fight bosses. Still it was fun to invoke the days of my child and finally beat this game.
