In this set of highlights, recorded yesterday (and thanks to the bros), we resurrect the F-Zero VS Highlights! But for this set, we test out a netplay utility, relatable to Hamachi and Parsec. ZeroTier, the utility we used to do netplays, is a tool where you or more people can connect with the host. Like Hamachi, you simply obtain and copy the IP address of the host who is hosting a multiplayer-compatible game that requires you to provide it for the game client. For example, F-Zero VS (FZVS) has both the client and server. Once you open the client, they will prompt you to enter both the IP of the host to connect and the UDP. You must also have ZeroTier active in order to carry out the multiplayer sequence; which relates to playing Multitroid with LuaBridge enabled, so it's basically correlative to that.
During our plays of FZVS using the utility, ZeroTier, the only differences we have encountered thus far are minimal lagging from the machines and fundamental crash effects (like in the original F-Zero game when you collide with another vehicle). In the past hosting the races, you all have witnessed a lot of lag, which is common in online multiplayer, but the difference between Hamachi and ZeroTier, ZeroTier had minimized the lagging a lot, even though Hamachi made it possible to race with other racers in FZVS.
