This is a project I have been working for some time with the help of Catador, making a playable Turbo Snail with its own stats. I tried to give this orange Turbo Snail the stats that could resemble it the most if it was playable. Because of that, beating Master class is impossible with the original game's CPU speed settings.
Stats: Low power, high power recovery speed, great damage output from collisions, easily vulnerable towards CPU bumpings, CPUs hardly get bumped away from Turbo Snail bumpings, long time to recover after wall crashes, bad grip, slippy turning, low top speed, very low top speed in low power state, slow acceleration, high deceleration speed, high speed decrease in rough and dash zones, average speed gaining initiating jumps.

This is just a very early version of this project, and the official release will take some years of work since there's some stuff that is hardly modifiable with the current hacking tools.

The idea is having a full Turbo Snail selection, which would require some work on either replacing all playable vehicles with Turbo Snail sprites or somehow make the game display playable vehicles using Turbo Snail sprites.

Do they have names now?: Turbo Snail is the name given to these vehicles that didn't appear to have an official one, as a result of a poll made at F-Zero communities.
