This is a so-called top-scrolling type racing game viewed from directly above. Machines and courses are meticulously depicted, creating a sense of speed and a realistic atmosphere. Attention is also paid to tactical elements such as detailed settings for wings, tires, and gear ratios to suit the course, as well as the timing of pit stops.
The weather can change from cloudy to rainy or rainy to sunny during the race, requiring the player to pit in quickly, but depending on the timing, the weather can change after the main stand, forcing the player to be patient until the car has completed a lap, a situation that could happen in a real race.
The steering wheel is operated by the in-game car's steering wheel just like a real car. It is not a horizontal movement like in Monaco GP (game)
When you start the game, you will be assigned to one of three teams. The initial team is the so-called "lower group," which is a team with a car whose performance is inferior to that of the higher group.
Before the qualifying rounds, the teams will be asked to set up their cars according to the circuit they will be racing on. After setting up the car and selecting the qualifying run, the game screen will change to a time attack run of two laps, starting with a one-lap unmeasured run from the pits. After the qualifying run, the grid results are displayed and the starting position is determined by the time result. Before the main race, the setting screen will be displayed again, so the drivers will be asked to make settings for the main race (especially for the main race, where there are many laps, so the driver must take tire management into consideration). The start of the main race will be held on the grid.
The start of the main race will begin when the cars are already on the grid, and the signal will be displayed, so the cars will start when the green light comes on. (Also, until the start, the car cannot be driven even if the driver presses the accelerator pedal, so there is no flying.)
There is no concept of fuel in terms of conditions during the race, but tires are worn and lose grip depending on driving conditions, so pit stops are necessary as needed. Also, if a car goes off the course and hits a wall or an object, or makes contact with another car, the suspension, wing, and body will be damaged, making it difficult to turn and reducing speed, so a pit stop can be made to replace parts.
Yellow flags are displayed when approaching an accidental car that has gone off course and retired during a race, but there are no specific overtaking violations, and the flags are displayed as a mere warning. If the number of cars involved in accidents exceeds a certain number, a red flag is displayed and the race is restarted. (All cars involved in accidents will be restored.)
If a car goes off the course, gets stuck in or out of the wall, and cannot get back on the course, it will retire from the race and move on to the next race with no points.
The driver's position will be determined by running the predetermined number of laps in the main race, and driver's points will be awarded according to the position.
