This week we saw the 2018 cars take to the track for the very first time. All the teams were in action and we also 15 of the 20 drivers take to the track on the final day of testing in Barcelona. The team who stood out the most were Toro Rosso, the Italian team powered by the Honda engine which has been terrible for reliability over the last three years completed the most timed laps as well as Gasly recording the most laps for a single driver. The stand out driver performance I would say goes to Williams reserve driver, Robert Kubica. He almost got the 2018 drive but he was over a second faster than Sergey Sirotkin, was this the right call by Williams?

In other news Valterri Bottas would like to challenge Lewis Hamilton in 2018 and I think this is important to his future not just at Mercedes but in F1 as well, a big year ahead for the Finn. Meanwhile Bernie Ecclestone thinks that F1 should become all electric powered just like Formula E. I feel F1 won't exist in the future and it will all be Formula E and it will also be a house hold name across the world.
