This is a commemorative skin that I designed inspired by Lt (JG) Ira Kepford's F4U-1A Corsair in which he got his 16th kill during WWII. Lt. Kepford was the US Navy's leading ace of the war. This skin is entirely fictional. The F/A-18 carries on the tradition set by the amazing single seat, carrier based fighter bombers of WWII.

Historic videos and pictures are used under Public Domain licensing and are credited to the US National Archives. Video game footage is taken from Eagle Dynamics' Digital Combat Simulator.
