The Advanced Logistics Systems mod allows the player to see a much more detailed view of the Logistics System. You can see which chests each type of item are in, where the chests are located, and even teleport to a specific chest, and replace/upgrade a chest if you wish.
This spotlight is for version 0.2.1 of the mod, which does work for Factorio 0.12.2.
