In this episode, we actually get sushi belt loading and unloading working--loading coal from miners onto the belt and then pulling it off the belt to feed our boilers for power. We also add a couple of additional calculations to our "brain": the Latency of the belt (how long it takes to transit once around the whole loop) as well as the effective Rate of items on the belt. These additional calculations then help us arrange for smart buffering of inputs for machines so they can operate continuously while waiting for relevant materials to come round on the sushi belt.
