Failed Attempt to Install Monster Hunter Frontier Z on a PS3 (Rain US Server)
18EDIT - Thanks to the major help of the Rain Discord team, the problem has been completely resolved.
You MUST sign in to your PlayStation Network account prior to launching (and updating) the installed package from step 2 (of the PS3 Installation guide). I went ahead and tried to connect to a server as well before exiting the game; and following the rest of the guide.

=How to play Monster Hunter Frontier Z on Rain in English on Vita or PS3 (Requires Custom Firmware or HEN)==
Vita installation:
1: Obtain an install for Monster Hunter Frontier G (The JAPANESE VERSION, Not Asia version. PCSG00350) on your Vita and the latest update for it. This can be done via PKGj to download directly to your Vita, NPS Browser to download on PC for transferring to your Vita (faster download speeds), or a physical cartridge of MHFG. Once the game is installed, if you don't have the update, open it and tap the yellow download button in the top left. Once downloaded, launch the game to update it. After it's updated, close it.
2: install the RePatch plugin if you haven't, and download the ZIP here: https://www.mediafire.com/file/e0465z28457ovk4/MHFZ+Vita+ENG+Pack.zip/file and extract these files on the root of your memory card, merge and replace if needed.
NOTE: Do not use AutoPlugin. It is notorious for causing issues with Vita's and it is better to learn how to install plugins manually. for help, this video is a good resource: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/jO91bcUAvzc
3: Skip to step 6.
PS3 Installation:
1: Download the Monster Hunter Frontier G PKG from this link: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/1097181756534300760/1100919092896071751/MHFG.pkg and transfer it to dev_hdd0/packages using a USB stick or FTP. You can also install the PKG from the physical disc, but it is unnecessary unless you have a copy.
2: Install the PKG for MHFG using a Package Manager. Launch and update it. Once it's updated, close the game.
3: Download the Data files for MHFZ from this link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1qcj850A8jQOJb75K8_4u5Nmijtgy7afq/view?usp=share_link
4: Transfer these files to your PS3 in dev_hdd0/game using a USB stick or FTP. This will take several minutes.
5: Download the latest English patch below, and transfer the files to your PS3 in dev_hdd0/game using a USB stick or FTP. Overwrite files if asked. https://www.mediafire.com/file/amk4g86stis4zo0/MHFZ+PS3+ENG+Pack.zip/file
NOTE: If you have a Rain account already, skip to step 8.
6: Go to 🔰┃bot-commands on the Discord and click the register button at the bottom.
7: type in a username, password. And your PSN Username in the message the bot Rust gives you. Make the password unique to this server, it's better to not be something used anywhere else.
8: if you have an account already, hit the Link PSN button in 🔰┃bot-commands and type in your PSN Username. Once you're done, proceed to step 9.
9: Now boot up Frontier Z on your system. Press start until it loads the browser. If you see another Press Start screen with the ZZ logo and the text in English on the bottom, you're ready! (On PS3, disable syscalls before going online to avoid any potential bans.)
10: Start until you see the server menu. Select a Rain server (scroll down to see Rain (US) or Rain (EU)) and connect. You should go to a main menu. On PS3, you'll encounter a file check. Hit circle to pass it. If that doesn't work, try triangle, if that doesn't work, reinstall the game.
NOTE: There may be bugs and issues with the Vita and PS3 versions that are undocumented. If you experience any issues, let a server admin know.
