Final Fantasy X vs. X-2
How do these games compare? A lot of answers to that question are highly subjective. I hope I managed to retain some semblance of impartiality here.

There were other aspects of the games I never got around to addressing, like X-2's victory theme, which - unpopular opinion here - I love it. I didn't realize how much I loved it until I started hearing it in FF Record Keeper. There's just something about it, even though it goes against FF "tradition" and all, that's kind of fitting given the story of the game.

I also didn't say much of anything about a lot of the features that the Remaster allows, like X-2's monster capturing. Sadly, I've yet to try any of that stuff since the last time I beat the game was before that was released. But looking at the games in their historical, unaltered forms seemed like a better way to compare them anyway, so there ya go.

The point about Break Damage Limit that I make is probably not as big of a deal as I make it up to be. After all, you don't really ever need it that desperately unless you're in a boss fight, which is just one battle. But I also failed to mention that the aforementioned Garment Grid that gives you BDL requires you to change four times to get it, not just once, which is still an awful lot of wasted time and turns unless you got a Quick Change badge. (Sorry, a little Paper Mario humor there)
