Falcon 4.37 BMS P1 Tutorial Ramp Starts & Ground Ops Gameplay Part 1

Taxi
1. Contact Ground Controller
• Tune UHF Channel 2 (default)
• Press T, then 3 to request taxi clearance
• Confirm taxi instructions (e.g., "Taxi via Alpha, hold short of Runway 36")
• Use the airfield chart to verify your position
2. Pre-Taxi Setup
• Enable nose wheel steering by pressing the NWS/MSL Step button on your
stick
• Set position lights to Flash and nose wheel lights to Taxi
• Request EPU pin removal by pressing T, then 1
• Request chocks removal by pressing T, then 2
3. Monitor Ground Speed
• Display the INS page on the DED by pressing List, then 6
• Limit ground speed to ≤ 25 knots on straight sections and ≤ 5 knots during
sharp turns
4. Begin Taxi
• Disengage the parking brake
• Slowly apply throttle, monitor ground speed, and follow taxiway markings
5. Hold Short of the Runway
• Re-engage the parking brake at the holding area (e.g., "E" area)
• Set nose wheel lights to Landing
• Arm the ejection seat
• Activate the radar altimeter by pushing the switch forward

Takeoff
1. Contact Tower Controller
• Disengage the parking brake
• Move the aircraft to the hold position of the runway
• Switch to UHF Channel 3 using the ICP rocker

• Press T twice to access tower commands, then press 1 to request takeoff
clearance
• Confirm clearance, runway assignment, wind conditions, and departure
instructions
2. Line Up for Takeoff
• Bring up the INS page on the DED to monitor the ground speed
• Taxi onto the runway, aligning with the centerline
• Exit the INS page and set the steer point to 2 for post-takeoff navigation
• Disengage nose wheel steering
3. Throttle and Brake Management
• Apply brakes and throttle up to 80% RPM
• Release brakes and push the throttle to Mil (full military power)
• Engage full afterburner when the airspeed tape comes alive
4. Takeoff Roll
• Use rudder to maintain runway alignment
• At takeoff speed, gently pull back on the stick
5. Post-Takeoff Actions
• Ensure a positive rate of climb before retracting the landing gear (G)
• Do not exceed 300 knots before retracting the gear to prevent damage
• Switch to UHF Channel 4 and contact departure control when
comfortable

Departure
1. Contact Departure
• Follow tower instructions to contact departure control
• Confirm heading and resume navigation as per mission plan

Additional Tips
• Aviate, Navigate, Communicate: Focus on flying the aircraft, maintaining
direction, and then communicating with controllers
• Steer points: Avoid direct overflight of the airbase; adjust course if necessary
• Gear management: Always retract landing gear before reaching 300 knots
