4I really wanted to have a good time with this level. At first, I was having quite a lot of fun with this level. Until I got 99%. This death, coming about 5 minutes after 85%, got me into the mindset of "this level should be easy to do". Of course, it took me another four attempts at the dual to finally get it. The time in between 99 and completion was one of the most demotivating experiences I had with any level I've ever finished.
So what are my general thoughts on this level? I found this level to be mid, progression was flawless in almost every aspect, but the balancing is comparable to that of Deception Dive, being second half heavy. The dual at the end is a pretty obvious chokepoint, but there was also the green orb at 71%, feeling pretty darn close to frame perfect. I just had to pray I got past this click because any alignments I tried were just too imprecise. Now for the elephant in the room, the dual. This part is absolute nonsense. This thing took me about 500 attempts to learn, and the difficulty does not stop there. For some reason, during start position runs, I kept on dying to bug after bug, primarily due to the inconsistencies of the slopes. This actually came down to the point where playing from some start positions would make the diagonal dual ship just about impossible to do. With the extreme complexity of this part and the sheer amount of bugs I had to deal with, practicing this section was absolutely terrible. The only other complaints I have with this include the straight flies found in the drop, with each of them being difficulty spikes no matter if I performed some form of skip.
Decoration looks great, although outdated, with some stars in the background being primary examples of this. Apart from those, you could barely even tell that this is an old 2.0 level due to the timeless nature of the majority of the parts, rainbow blocks included.
