Rope in hand, Melvin descends into the decrepit chambers of Vault 15. Not much of value is found aside from an SMG and a cave-in that prevents access to the Overseer's room. After dispatching most of the local vermin it's back to Shady Sands.

Upon arrival Seth announces that Tandi has been abducted by raiders. Melvin uses the power of intimidation to secure her bloodless release. Once she is safely ensconced back in the Sands, Melvin visits his wrath upon the Khans.

Tragically, Ian entangles himself in a group of enemies and gets caught in the blast radius of a grenade. We hardly knew him. He liked shooting things. In that respect, he died doing what he loved and that absolves Melvin for tossing the grenade that slew him. Melvin did everything correct.

Traveling southward to Junktown, Melvin engages in light bantering, bartering, and assassination prevention. Killian, the mayor of Junktown and intended victim of assassination, enlists Melvin in a plot to expose the man trying to have him killed.
