Fallout 4 Life in the Ruins EP01 Finding Sanctuary and Red Rocket
This is my new Fallout 4 coverage of the modlist called "Life in the Ruins'. This game can now be found in NexusMods Collections. It is called Moonpunk - Lunar Fallout Collections. I don't plan to do many episodes as this is just an introduction to this modlist. EP01 I just get started and pickup dogmeat.
in EP02 I'm going to do a stay in Santuary Area Challenge where I restrict my gameplay to just the Northwest Corner of the map until I reach level 20. This modlist restricts leveling greatly so after 15 hours I'm still trying to get past level 10! Level 20 is a long long ways away. EP03+ will be just exploring the game and see how this modlist plays while exploring.
Life in the Ruins is a massively overhauled and finely tuned Fallout 4 experience. Designed to rebalance the game so that the challenge comes primarily from scarcity of resources, while staying true to the vanilla aesthetic. With options for a more vanilla+ style playthrough, as well as an even more challenging survival experience.
Modlist Goals
Difficulty comes from scarcity of resources, not bullet sponges.
RPG Balance, Scaling, and Progression - brought to you by Lunar Fallout Overhaul.
Survival Mechanics without without the bullshit bullet sponges.
Strategic rather than tactical combat - prepare in advance for difficult encounters, instead of respawning until you get it right.
A vibrant, forested, inhabited, and uncivilized wasteland. Neglected areas should feel fleshed out, but it should still feel lonely.
New Uniques - almost every single quest reward and vendor unique is now a modded weapon or armor.
Extra high-quality content with the same style and tone as vanilla (no pointlessly skimpy outfits, no tacti-cool weapons).
Full controller support (no extra configuration required).
Smooth performance on mid-range modern gaming hardware.
