In this mod review I cover a mod that replaces weapon sounds with those from classic fallout games such as fallout 3. For example, you get the iconic 10mm pistol sound, even when suppressed as well as many more. I personally think that the modern sounds are better, but if you are looking for a hit of nostalgia then this might be just the mod for you.
