Fallout 76 - Stop Being Blinded By The Cremator With This Mod

The Cremator is a very fun weapon but the explosions can be quite blinding. Since there is no setting to lower or disable explosive visual effects, the only options are to suffer through it or turn to mods. Luckily, for PC players, there is a mod that does the job. It has several options and I'll show you how they look. General instructions for mod installion listed below.

Mod Installation

1 - Download mod file(s)

2 - Extract downloaded file(s). You just need to click on it.

3 - Copy extracted file(s) to Steam\Steamapps\Common\Fallout76\Data directory. The location of the directory may vary depending on where the game was installed.

4 - You need to modify the file Fallout76Custom.ini. If you don't have Fallout76Custom.ini (or Project76Custom.ini for Game Pass), you'll need to create one. To do that, open Notepad and save as Fallout76Custom.ini (or Project76Custom.ini) to Documents\My Games\Fallout76. Make sure you have Save as type: All Files(*.*) selected or it will be end up as a .txt file. Once again, location of the file may vary and will be the same as Fallout76.ini.

The file needs to have this text:
[Archive]
sResourceArchive2List =

Add the name of the mod file to the end of the line. For example, the smaller explosion mod file would look like this:

[Archive]
sResourceArchive2List = SmallerCrematorExplosion.ba2

If you are using more than one mod, add a comma between mod file names. For example:

[Archive]
sResourceArchive2List = silEmotes23.ba2,SmallerCrematorExplosion.ba2

Save the file and that should be all you need to do.
