Fallout: New Vegas (Xbox One) - 1080p60 HD Walkthrough Part 285 - Deathclaw Promontory
Fallout: New Vegas - Ultimate Edition, played on Xbox One, backwards compatible since June 24, 2016.
This is (will be) a 100% walkthrough, thus including every single quest, all unique items, weapons and armor, interaction with all NPCs in the game, all 8 companions and their quests, all 4 main DLCs, all backstory and every possible ending.
I'll also be exploring everything properly and pick up any item of value, to sell and buy unique weapons and armor, and stimpaks.

Additional info:
- The number of deathclaws found on the promontory varies with the player character's level. If the player character has a high level (30+), it is possible for a large number to spawn including multiple alpha male and mother deathclaws. This makes it one of the most dangerous places in the entire game, including DLCs.
- This is the only place in the game to obtain Remnants power armor outside of the quest "For Auld Lang Syne".
- Legionary assassins may spawn in the area after loading a save. They will fight the deathclaws if the player character is hidden, and will likely not survive.
- Not all deathclaws in this area may appear when arriving at the location for the first time (this happened to me, along with the items not spawning the first time). The remaining deathclaws will typically re-appear once the player character has fast traveled or, notably, when loading a save. The latter may result in the player character's death if the save was made while on the promontory itself. For this reason, it is strongly recommended that at least one save is made (and kept) prior to climbing onto the promontory.
- As for the armor's looks in Fallout: New Vegas, it is nearly identical to its previous appearance in Fallout 2, except it has a rusted grimier look and the lenses appear to be cracked. In addition, it has a fan on the back.
- All humanoid companions can wear the Remnants Power Armor.
- This armor is not associated with any faction and will not spur any particular faction to attack based on one's clothing, even though NCR actively persecutes and hunts down any Enclave remnants or direct descendants of them.
- At one point in development, J.E. Sawyer considered an effect where wearing the armor would make everyone in the game hostile to the player character, like the Auditore cape from Assassin's Creed II, but removed it to prevent ruining the gameplay experience for players.

Summary:
The story has taken some parts from the Fallout and Fallout 2 stories, and is for the most part unrelated to its predecessor, Fallout 3.
Fallout: New Vegas takes place in 2281, four years after the events of Fallout 3, thirty-nine years after Fallout 2, and one-hundred-twenty years after Fallout. The New California Republic plays a major part in the game's story, being in a three-way struggle amongst the Caesar's Legion slavers, and the mysterious Mr. House.
