Fallout Shelter has recently made its way to PC, so I decided to check it out. I was never able to properly play it on mobile because it ran like crap on my phone. Literally less than 1 frame per second! ONE FRAME! I was pleasantly surprised by the difference and how it was actually playable, but most people won't have that experience. The game itself is a nice engaging experience for Fallout fans, and takes a much slower and lighter pace than other games on PC, mainly because it is a mobile port. The first 30 minutes to an hour of the game are entertaining, then the excitement falls off until you can build the Overseer's Office. This allows you to do quests like the one in the video and I imagine they get better after the first one. I cannot say for certain if quests will be exciting as you complete more of them, or if you can play them whenever you want, but hopefully there will be additional unlocks later on that enhance the experience. Generally speaking I would not be able to recommend this game under normal standards, based of the gameplay alone. The periods of inactivity are far too numerous and lengthy. However, as far as mobile ports go, Fallout Shelter is top of the line. Because of that, as long as you are looking for a more relaxed experience that few other games provide, I can certainly recommend Fallout Shelter. In those circumstances, it will more than likely meet your expectations. Also, if you haven't played it yet on mobile for any number of reasons, now is the perfect time to jump in if you are interested.
