Fallout Talk - Do you prefer a faction system or linear main quest?
Fallout has really two different styles for a main quest: a linear one where the motivation of the character is already selected by the writer (or the protagonist in-lore) and the other where the player chooses a faction, even if there's no real motivation for the protagonist to do so. I'll discuss the reasons why one is preferred over the other by a personality, whether it be a more fleshed out story or player freedom. What is your preference? Do you prefer a faction system or linear story?
