As many of you know, YouTubers like Make A Path Presents (Ronny Haze), Meg Stansfield, DiscussTheDead, Ranting Dead, itshippychick, and myself have all been experiencing an abuse of power on YouTube involving fair use and copyright law with Walking Dead videos. Most of them are for simply using still images that are personally altered, edited, and reformatted by us as well. I've discussed this in the past, so I am focusing on another specific topic involving that with this video. As a few of you know, I have filed copyright claim disputes on all claimed videos. Many have told me that their disputes have been denied, but mine haven't been answered on yet. A claimant can actually wait 30 days before the acceptance or denial option disappears and the claim is removed. This means that no matter what circumstances a video is claimed for, whether accurately or falsely claimed, that claimant can still make money on a video by simply waiting out the 30 day period. This can easily be abused and the fact that most videos get the most views and make the most money within the original time of the post, is very important as well. Time-sensitive videos like Walking Dead news videos can be claimed and almost no money can be made after the 30 day amount for the original content creator that worked hard on the video. This is something I wanted to raise awareness on and bring to the surface, because I believe it is important to think about. I strongly believe that we should fight this issue to the best of our abilities. Raising awareness is one of the most important parts, which is why I ask you to share this video and support it, in addition to the other videos from Ronny and Megan.
