Fantasy Zone is a 1986 horizontal shoot-em-up developed and released by Sega in 1986. Two years later after it's original arcade release, this game got a HuCard treatment c/o NEC Avenue, with the stages and looping remaining the same save for the music and sound. It also got rereleased on the PC Engine mini in 2020.

This is a single loop survival clear that I have made a few days ago just after getting a loose copy from a retro gaming convention. Although it does not take much to memorize all the stages, the final boss would require a lot of trial-and-error due to the speed of the aliens it releases, along with the timing of the use of the Heavy Bomb. You can buy extends at the shop. However, do take note that a single hit or collision is a one-hit wonder and all upgrades and specials lost so do take care when choosing a speed ending you desire.

Game Over at 2-3 (Round 11). Played on a real CoreGrafx with a real Japanese HuCard.
