Time Crisis 2 - Full Run With No Continues (877k) [Real PCB]
41cc playthrough of Time Crisis II released in the arcades in 1998 playing as Robert Baxter.
One of the most-popular lightgun titles released back in the 90s, Time Crisis is one of those series that received a cult following, with the second game being the most well-known among the series after the first game. This title introduced a few stuff including the Combo Hit System in which you earn points depending on which enemy's body part you shot at, automatic weapons including a machine gun which would become a thing in III onwards as well as Crisis Zone and Razing Storm, branching paths depending on which orange soldier you have killed first which will then take you to that path.
I managed to get only one yellow soldier bonuses out of the three, which is in the last stage although this video is meant to show the tricks on how to survive the entire game, considering this does not give any extends as in the other games in the series:
1. Target prioritization - memorize and prioritize the enemies that are bound to shoot you head first, not just including green and red soldiers in the game.
2. Awareness - always be aware of the playing field's surroundings. You may never know which enemy will throw a crisis flash or a knife soldier throwing knives out of nowhere.
3. Playing it safe - if you feel that you are being surrounded by many enemies that may throw crisis flashes or ambushes unexpectedly, release the pedal when in doubt but do not take too long with it as you WILL take damage when timer runs out. This is the newest change in the second game as the first game gives an instant game over when timer expires.
This is played on a real arcade machine located at FunHouse amusement center at Montalban Town Center in Montalban, Rizal, Philippines. No emulation. (which there isn't for the arcade release anyway as the MAME version is STILL broken as of this recording last October 12, 2022.)
