Far Cry 1 is 20 YEARS OLD...
1,200Far Cry is now officially 20 years old!!! The original Far Cry released on March 23rd, 2004 and in this video I take a quick revisit to the game that started it all, and reflect on the series and how it's changed over the years. Far Cry has especially interesting origins as it was originally created by Crytek before they went on to make the Crysis series and Ubisoft continued the Far Cry franchise with Far Cry 2 in 2009. The result being that the original Far Cry is a very different type of game; thematically, tonally, and aesthetically from the rest of the series and it's fascinating to see how it has aged in the 20 years since it's release. Anyone else feel old???
