🔵 Gameplay
Far Cry is a 2004 first-person shooter game developed by Crytek and published by Ubisoft. It is the first installment in the Far Cry franchise. Set on a mysterious tropical archipelago, the game follows Jack Carver, a former American special forces operative, as he searches for the female journalist, Valerie Constantine, who accompanied him to the islands but went missing after their boat was destroyed by mercenaries. As Jack explores the islands, he begins to discover the horrific genetic experiments being conducted on the local wildlife and must confront the mad scientist behind them.

🟦 Background
Jack passes through the loading area while a truck with workers pulls away towards the facility. Because the bridge connecting the outdoor area to the building across the reservoir is collapsed, he has to make his way up a tower and use the Flying fox.
Doyle warns of lethal areas inside the building where extremely hot steam is released. This forces Jack to look for roundabout routes to the junctions, as some passages are blocked by streams of vapor. He also needs to find three KeyCards to gain access to each junction room. Once there, he turns the valves to set the pressure to maximum.
The last step is to reverse the main flow from the control panel which, as Doyle explains, will cause a cascade big enough to destroy the regulator core. Jack gets to the control panel and presses the button on a computer. An explosion throughout the building ensues, and the computer starts to spark. Valerie tells Jack to wait for her in a ventilation shaft until she returns from the Archives.
When Jack enters the shaft, a cutscene shows a trigen outbreak. In addition to the already known mutated primates, the player can see human mutants for the first time, who are smart enough to use firearms and release other trigens. They manage to kill the guards and spread over the island.
