I found this little alcove in Feralas not too long ago while farming for the brutosaur mount, which is being removed from WoW not too long from now in the pre-patch before Shadowlands. I was intrigued because the herb and ore density of this place is pretty thick. Normally, if you were just farming for the whelp you'd probably take a skinner to try and maximize the amount of materials and gold you'd get. But what if you herbed and mined while also weaving in the whelp farm? I decided to try it and my results paid of ten-fold. I got the whelp. As well as maintaining my consistent gold per hour over the course of the farm.
