An introduction to farming in America, Midwest Ohio. Five years after the Second World War ended President Harry s Truman took dramatic steps for America to become the feeder of the free world. Food across the world is in very short supply and in very huge demand. Truman encouraged the American people to take up farming. Harry Hill took up the offer, he started a little farm on a patch of land he already owned. We follow him through his journey of farming, and raising his family, his brother who runs a haulage firm sets out to take over the Midwest. Todays episode sees us doing some late hay, to be delivered to the the dairy down the road.
