OK, so this 3DS turned up with no power, simply chucking in a battery got it fired up, but THEN the proper testing began.
Turns out none of ( well, most of ) the buttons, analogue, directions or touch screen were working.
So let's pull it apart and see if we can't get it going properly eh?

Well, it's going to take a cheeky Pt 2 to get this fully up and running, so join me in a couple of weeks when we have another crack at it....
