This chapter... came completely out of left field. There was some foreshadowing that it would happen, but the actual transition to it couldn't have been more awkward. At LEAST give us a scene that occurs immediately before the main event to create some build up and expand on the context of the situation more. This feels really rushed.

And another thing. Don't follow an emotionally taxing scene like this immediately with awkward, stilted romance!

Disregarding to two things above however, the chapter DID at least achieve it's intended effect. On me at least. I didn't know who to side with. Maybe that's just because I haven't been paying enough attention that I was able to notice anything jarring. So I'm gonna ask the audience this. Who do you think was right?
