There's a peculiar mission in the corner with a "Test of Skill" restriction. What this means is that weapon skills will unlock twice as fast, in exchange however they've made the time limit more strict. Note that S-rank for this one is 7 minutes instead of 15, and if you go over 10 minutes you'll fail the mission.
Characters with a good KO rate can unlock a 5000 KO skill in one run of this mission, and getting 3000 KOs for Armor Strike goes quite fast here. I don't know if it's faster than a Timed Onslaught, but on the plus side you can control when you want the mission to end.
