FEAR: The Halloween Spooktacular - 49 - PM Interval 07: Extermination (3 of 3), Ending and Outro
Sometimes your short-term memory takes a hit after you die. If you've ever respawned in a game and stumbled around for a bit trying to figure out what you were supposed to be doing you'll understand.
The Nightcrawler commander fights you in two phases, each with their own health and armor totals (650/350 and 1500/1500 - yes, he has more health than the regular powered armor) and weapons (the Penetrator and Repeating Cannon). He's also got grenades, the super-reflex sidestep, one hell of a punch, and a surprising weakness. But hey, after he's done it's just another gauntlet of Replica soldiers, and it's on to the ending that's somehow less satisfying than a screen of text.
Ultimately Perseus Mandate isn't terrible, but it's not outstanding either. It's just on the good side of average, which is probably the best you can hope for when dealing with something that is, ultimately, meant to wring the last few dollars out of a game that's been on the market for two years. There were some neat ideas in it, but nothing that absolutely had to see the light of day. Unless you *really* need a fix you're better off ignoring it and just playing FEAR and Extraction Point.
The bonus missions - of which there are three - are just two linear levels where you have to fight through enemies and reach the end and one arena fight. They're the Gourmet Race of this game, which probably isn't the first time anyone compared Kirby to first-person shooters and likely won't be the last.
