Federal judge in Austin hears Rio Grande buoy case amid U.S.-Mexico tension
A judge will soon decide whether Texas must temporarily remove controversial buoys placed in the Rio Grande River in an effort to deter migrant crossings. The Department of Justice is suing Governor Greg Abbott and the State of Texas arguing the buoys create an illegal barrier in the waterway.
