[FEH] Aether Raids Week 22 Day 5: OPHELIA!!
16Jam packed day. Four fights. Let's get to it.
Fight 1: Guh... I messed up. With the benefit of hindsight, I just had no chance the way I set up. My brain did NOT see the double dance for some reason. I needed to step back 1 and hide everyone else. I think this was beatable...I just screwed up. Man... Not to mention after I lost two units, I played end game wrong as well and lost Veronica!! That's on me. I was just dumb in this one. 2 pots lost. 60 points lost.
Fight 2: A reprieve, yay! I like walls. Thanks for letting me have a choke point! Perfect.
Fight 3: Another choke point but with everyone ranged I couldn't move forward. Fjorm ended up killing 4 things in one turn...Oops... Two pots lost... The 3rd bonus fight was out anyway, this honestly doesn't matter that much.
Fight 4: Not a complete wall, but good enough. Armors don't do well against Surtr and I didn't let Kagero break free, so nothing was ever really in danger. Perfect.
Staus:
- 7 Aether pots lost so far (I can miss 5 more Aether pots; See section on that below, I had to do the math, I've never had to check this before...)
- ~200 points lost on offense (80 + 20 + 60 + 40? Something like that...)
- 140 points lost on defense
- No ladders left
- Highest tier we can get is now only tier 23...I think this is guaranteed to be my worst finish already!
- Essentially we're pretty much locked in. As long as I don't get wiped 3 times in a row? Unlikely... But... Just hoping to get top 6000 honestly.
Discussion on Aether and Max # of fights a week (tier 21):
- Total Aether given to you is: 250 (maxed Amporae) + 70 x 6 (daily Aether Regen) = 420 + 250 =670. With no Aether obtained, minimum fight thus is 670 / 50 = 13. So you can get up to THREE bonus Aether fights a season (I always thought it was 2...).
- Max additional Aether through pots: 13 x 10 = 130. That brings max Aether to 670 + 130 = 800. But wait! Another 20 though bonus fights is 820. 820 / 50 = 16 fights.
- The third bonus will give you 10 more Aether but you'll end at 30.
- So let's figure out how many you can miss and still get bonus fights. 13 fights x 2 pots a fight is 26 minimum chances. But it's first important to find ending base Aether (ie didn't get any bonus Aether at all), which is: (250 base + 420 regen) % (modulus! gives remainder) 50 (fight cost) = 20. Therefore we only need 30 Aether to get 1st bonus, that's 6 pots. So we can miss a whopping 20 pots and still get 1st bonus fight. From there, just subtract 10 for each (each is worth 5; x 10 = 50; the match cost). So ..2nd fight: We can miss 10, but since we got a bonus fight unlocked that's 2 more possible so add 2. To guarantee 2nd fight, you can miss 12. Now the third bonus... Same thing, subtract 10 + 2 (another bonus unlocked) = 4.
- Summary: You can miss 20 Aether and get 1st fight, 12 for 2nd, 4 for 3rd. And now we know! Yay math! Hopefully you followed that! Try playing around yourself to confirm if you don't believe it!
