The F8 has a scorching twin-turbocharged, 710-hp 3.9-liter V-8 mounted behind the driver. The engine has a lighter crankshaft, flywheel, and connecting rods and weighs nearly 40 pounds less than the engine in the 488 Spider. Lighter exhaust manifolds also contributed to the weight loss. That 710 hp arrives at 7000 rpm, while torque peaks at 568 lb-ft at 3250 rpm. A new gas particulate filter helps the F8 comply with pesky EU emissions requirements.
