Fester's Quest (NES) *No Deaths*

"This is one tough video game."
On today's edition of Brandon Plays, we check out "Fester's Quest" on the Nintendo (NES). This is the full playthrough of the game. No deaths! Yes, I did use a "Turbo Controller" for the game. Typically, I'm against using these types of gaming accessories, but considering the difficulty and recommendation to use one from the gaming manual itself, I figured why not.

In truth, Fester's Quest is an interesting title. The game flows like a solid action-adventure NES title with an awesome soundtrack and decent graphics. However, the game is very difficult to the point that many gamers stop playing the game entirely after a few attempts. Beyond that, Fester's Quest has enemies that are cheap and can actually be more difficult than some of the end-level bosses.
Pros:
- Awesome soundtrack!
- The "Noose" item. Very handy and effective!
- Solid controls. Responsive, with or without a Turbo Controller.
Cons:
- Repetitive areas
- Very difficult to complete by many gamers
- Enemies are tougher than some of the bosses
Overall Rating: 2 out of 5
