Easily the hardest of the Deep Dungeon battles, as expected. This one pits you against an Angel of Death (Sephiroth). However, you'll also have to contend with a Ruby Weapon AND an Emerald Weapon AT THE SAME TIME! I was stuck on this one for a little while.

For starters, Sephiroth can be put to sleep, which is no problem as we can sleep him on the first turn if we manage to get a lucky teleport. The problem is the two weapons; Ruby loves using status based attacks and Emerald just plain hits hard period. The issue is that you don't want them spawning with certain reaction/support/movement abilities; especially Teleport, HP Restore, Auto Potion, Static, Regenerator and Shed Skin are among the worst offenders. Things like Daze, Sunlight and Concealment are bad, too. Thankfully, just like in the last battle, Ruby can be confused, and once it's confused and Sephiroth is put to sleep, we have to try to kill Emerald as quickly as possible, while hoping that Ruby doesn't wake up Sephiroth.

Once Emenrald is killed, we need Ramza and Agrias to change their setups to deal with Ruby. Mana Buster is needed to proc Rasp on it to drain its MP, and Rollerskates are needed to deal with its status attacks. Then we need for them to mount both taijus (they are super good to have here both as support and as untargetable mounts). Again, we need to curse Ruby when he gets critical to avoid Desperation triggers (you don't want regen to heal him back up because he's so fast).

As for Sephiroth, we need to keep him asleep, but since Ramza and Agrias have innocent thanks to Rollerskates, we have to use Sleep Swords. No problem, as Sleep Sword procs 100% of the time. Basically, we keep him in a sleep lock while working on killing Ruby. After Ruby finally dies, we can still sleep-lock Sephiroth until he dies.
