One of my very first videos was a battle with the Midgar Zolom. A level 5 Tifa kicked his ass with initial equipment and without materia and accessories. I only made this video to prove that it could be done, but it was a very boring video. The battle required a lot of luck, so I chose the easiest strategy in order to save my sanity.

First of all, I set ATB to Wait so that I could have a greater chance of getting a turn before him. A downside with Wait is that he takes poison damage much more rarely, resulting in a much longer battle. I also healed every turn, which isn't necessary at all, as you have more than enough HP to survive a second attack defending.

So, if we set ATB to Active, defend every other turn instead of healing all the time and take a little advantage of the limit break system to get in an attack, it can be done in less than 2 minutes instead of more than 4.

I would have removed the other video and replaced it with this if it wasn't for the fact that it's one of my oldest and most viewed videos. Read the video description for that video for more details. Tifa's stats in this battle are the same as in the old video.
