Weapon: Yoshiyuki
Armor: Ziedrich
Accessory: Touph Ring
Other: 255 Strength and Dexterity, fixed Magic Defense bug.

This is it. The final showdown. Thanks to all the other characters being level 99, Cloud gets to face the strongest version of Sephiroth. Well, the second strongest, since Cloud is only level 8. I could level him up to 99 so that Safer would get another 30.000 HP, 2 Atk, 20 Def, 5 MAtk and 16 MDef, but that would make the battle kinda... easy.

Let's compare Sephiroth's base stats to his stats now. Base stats are to the left.

HP: 80.000 / 289.900
Atk: 230 / 244
Def: 100 / 240
MAtk: 100 / 135
MDef: 180 / 292

In other words, he's not that much stronger, but he's got a lot more defense. I could have used KotR on Jenova to get another 80.000 HP, but that only would have made the battle last longer, and with that much HP and defense, it's obvious it's already gonna last a while.

Sephiroth's attack pattern when you cast Slow on him:

1. Wall
2. Shadow Flare
3. Wing
4. Ascend
5. Pale Horse
6. Super Nova
7. Break / Heartless Angel (when HP is less than 25%)
8. Descend
9. DeSpell on self
10. Shadow Flare
Repeat 3 to 10.

With Slow, you never have to see Deen, but that's not the big problem here. Pale Horse is much more lethal, and it's the reason why I chose Cloud for these battles. Tifa simply could not survive it with only 329 HP. With 345 HP and a little higher Spirit stat, Cloud was able to survive it. Barely. You can see how close it was the second time.

Thanks to Haste and max Dexterity, and Slow on Sephiroth, Cloud gets a lot of turns between his. That's four when you use items and a massive total of six when you only attack, change row or defend, since these animations are really short. That means it's not a problem to prepare for his attacks and deal a lot of damage.

Pale Horse and Super Nova inflict some statuses, but they aren't a problem. If you get confused by Super Nova, Cloud will simply attack himself for 1 damage, thanks to Pale Horse inflicting Small. You might lose some turns, but that's not the end of the world. However, it never happened in this battle, which disappointed me, since I wanted to show you what would have happened. I used the old Remedy trick to see what statuses I would get from Super Nova.

In case you didn't read it on the Bizarro video, I use the Yoshiyuki because it allows you to deal three times as much damage when both allies are KO'd. That equals the damage you can deal with the Ultima Weapon when your HP is full, so that makes the Yoshiyuki better at max Strength. The Ziedrich has 100 Def and 98 MDef, and it cuts all physical damage in half, and the Touph Ring adds another 50 Def and 50 MDef. Fixing the Magic Defense bug means giving Cloud 98 Mind Sources, since an armor's MDef isn't added to your Spirit stat.

The battle lasted almost half an hour, so I had to speed up most of it even after cutting most of the Super Novas. You should still be able to see what's going on, though.

Anyway, that's it. This concludes the Solo challenges I started almost two years ago. Now that that's done, I'll get back to the Speed Run, NSGNSNCNINTQ and the FFIV LLG. Thanks for watching!
