I finally figured the damageless fight out without materia. I had to find a way to kill him before aura, which automatically happens once he charges twice even if you cancel them, unless you stagger him. The biggest issue was dodging his first attack, which seemed impossible without parry unless you cancelled him with a limit, but I needed the limit for later to maximize stagger and prevent aura. After a lot of resets I finally found a way to do it by butting Bahamut against the wall slightly. It is also really easy for Tifa to get hit while starting her limit, so you have to get a bit lucky and time it correctly.
