Now that I'm done with fulfilling that ambitious idea in FFVI, I can go back and play this challenge again (not as much free time as usual to play half a dozen challenges and regular playthroughs in several games at once these days).

In the last video I showed how I got the Adamantite accessory which will be very useful later. Chapter 2 is, in fact, a pretty important part of the challenge.

First of all, you get Minerva's Plate. This accessory is extremely useful for magicians, as it increases Magic by 100 at the expensive of Strength (which goes down by 80 points), doubles max MP and makes spells quicker to cast. With Black Mage's Turbo Black Magic passive abilities mastered, the casting of BM skills is almost immediate, as you see in this video. On the other hand, when equipped with the Minerva's Plate, the user gains no AP or EXP. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR OUR LOW LEVEL GAME, BECAUSE THE MINERVA'S PLATE USER WILL BE THE ONLY PERSON TO SURVIVE ALL BATTLES.

It's a good idea to complement Minerva's Plate with Soul of Thamasa (acquired through the Zanarkand money mating mission). It increases Magic by 15, doubles the MP cost of all spells but at the same time their efficiency as well.

In this video, I show how impressive this combination can get. Chocobo Eater is weak to fire and vulnerable to Mental Break which reduces Magic Defence. Warriors do that until they're dead and Black Mage Rikku with the Minerva/Soul accessory combo uses Focus. Chocobo Eater is very quick and Warriors cannot survive two of his attacks, Rikku in Protect more likely than not can.

Rikku is healed when damaged and very shortly she is the only person standing. She casts a powered up Firaga on the boss dealing maximum possible damage.

Pretty impressive for a low level game and being this soon in the game, I must say.

The Black Mage's effectiveness will be reduces as other jobs will withstand attacks far more successfully, enemies will not be weak to any elements and will be immune all four break attacks. Their stats will be higher too, whereas mine are at their peak already.
