PS2 tech can achieve numerous people following leader, so should modern RPGs and JRPGs and stuff! Just seeing leader is so strange and unnatural. Its crazy in 2021 there are still JRPGs that only have the leader visible or just the battle party when everyone that accompanies them should be visible!
