125In this video I explain the Zeni Notorious Monster System in FFXI.
CORRECTION: To get to Mahjlaef the Paintorn use 135 Unity warp, not voidwatch as I said in video.
The main reason to do this is for a mythic weapon. Apart from Pandemonium Warden all of this content is very easy to do solo at level 99 since it was designed for 75 characters as part of the ToAU expansion.
To use this system you will need to first obtain Zeni by taking pictures. You will then use that Zeni to purchase pop items from an npc in Whitegate. Each NM will drop a trophy that you can bring back to the npc to progress to the next tier.
You can pick and choose which tier 1 and tier 2 nms you do, but you will be required to do all of the tier 3 nms to get a tier 4 pop. This means that you will need to do the tier 1 and 2 nms multiple times so that you can do each tier 3.
If you are making a mythic weapon you will need to KEEP a trophy from each of the tier 4 NMs (do not turn them in to the npc) and then you will need to come back and clear one of them 3 times for Magian Trials.
