7So, this quest stumps quite a few players when it comes to the Black Flan boss. It has -50% resist to everything except Holy/Light element, and the base takes damage over time when enemies are present. Essentially, the Tall, The Pious, and The Rogue Sigils are most effective for killing it quickly. Level doesn't technically matter if you're efficient with managing MP.
A decent strat is to bait a blockable by using knives, due to the animations being short enough to cancel into guard. After that, switch to your strongest weapon, or anything with Rush Boost to benefit off the knife combo. Then spam warp strikes. If your DPS is too low, this quest will fail outright, due to the base constantly taking damage. This set of requirements carries over to the second version of this quest.
Note: I don't have any weapons optimized for spellcasting, but I'm confident that Multicast works much the same way, seeing as the resistances are all the same.
