Field of Glory II Medieval. The Battle of Saint George 1320AD. Achaean Side. King.
We go now live to the other side of Saint George where the Achaeans seem to be in a good position. The Byzantine army is larger and has a quality advantage, but with the hill and a containable ambush to my rear this seems more than doable. With many knights at my command, favourable terrain, and many more resources, my Achaeans seem unstoppable.

Spoilers.
That was gutting, but I recognised after the battle that I made some significant errors (besides constantly getting trapped and finally buried by that one infuriating unit of massed archers in the forest). I didn't have to move off the hill like that at the start. I had time to let the enemy on my left at least come to me where I would have had the protection of the hill and less bad terrain to deal with. It might also have drawn their infantry into bad positions. Piling onto the ambushing lancers to save my fragmenting spearmen might have been heroic, but it was also lousy strategy and I lost a lot of units that I didn't have to. And I should have avoided sending forward that disrupted unit of irregular foot. I got complacent due to the scenario seeming to be a more relaxed affair compared to the Byzantine end of things, but you never underestimate a King scenario. I'll do better next time.
