Diving/height – With Yashin having such a high diving stat, it does make up for his height with him being on the smaller side for a goalkeeper at 6”2. He did have a good reach of the overall goal and manages to make impressive diving saves to keep the ball out of the net. Even against some difficult shots heading towards the corners of the goal, he managed to get a fingertip to the ball to keep it out.

Reflexes – At 96, his reflexes stat is one of the highest in the game and he will more than likely remain as one of the best in this category for the rest of FIFA 22. Yashin makes saves that other goalkeepers just are not capable of making. From inside the box he reacts very quickly to shots and most of all gets a good diving animation which gives him the best chance at stopping the ball.

Handling – Although I have not listed is as a positive of the card, I was quite impressed with his handling against some shots. Another important thing to mention is that against lofted passes, crosses and corners into the box, Yashin always caught the ball for me rather than choosing to punch it away which is a big positive. I would say compared to his other versions this is where I noticed the biggest change in his performance. However, I still noticed the same weakness with this Prime version compared to his lower rated cards in that he does sometimes allow rebound chances after making a save. I did use the Glove chemistry style on him which boosts his handling to 99, so it is worth considering this in terms of his performance.

Speed – This is the slowest version of Yashin currently in FIFA 22 and I doubt they will make his Prime Moments slower than this card. However, Yashin does feel very quick in game and I would say he is one of the fastest goalkeepers I have used. His acceleration off the line makes him a great option if you like your goalkeeper to play as a sweeper keeper.

Distribution – His kicking was good enough for me. He doesn’t have the power or accuracy compared to some of the top end kicking goalkeepers in the game but it never caused me any issues. I always prefer my goalkeepers to have the long throw trait so it is unfortunate Yashin does not have this.

Positioning – I thought his positioning was great in game and again makes up for his smaller frame. Of course, he will still be prone to conceding long shots, even some of the tallest goalkeepers in the game still concede these. But Yashin always seemed to be stood in the correct position both inside and outside the box. The only thing I will mention is that he is not very aggressive at coming out on his own. If you are someone who likes your goalkeeper to regularly come out you will either need to do this manually or try applying aggressive rushing tactics to him.
