The Fifth Order were a teenage group out of Columbus, Ohio, that released a couple of singles in the mid-late 1960s. The band recorded the single in a Louisville, Kentucky studio (Allen-Martin Studios), choosing two originals by songwriter Jack Sender. The single was released on the small indie label Counterpart. It is said that the record sold upwards of 18,000 copies and was a number 1 smash in Columbus. The single charted in Ohio and the Midwest.
